New Agent Training Office (NATO)

A primary component of our Education Development Center is our New Agent Training Program, which we call NATO.

NATO: What is it?

Coldwell Banker's New Agent Training Office is an exclusive educational training center that provides newly licensed, or those experienced agents looking to accelerate their business, the tools for a successful real estate career. With over 450 sales associates and five offices across Oahu, you will learn sales and marketing techniques from the best resources in the market. The NATO Educational Center is located in Kahala and provides a fun, inspirational environment for learning. NATO is a place where Hawaii's most successful real estate agents come from.

How long is the Training course?

We have developed a comprehensive training program where you receive hands on real estate experience inside and outside the Education Development Center. It starts with an intensive and interactive 6-week program that combines classroom and real life lessons. It continues with coaching and support through your initial transactions. During the training session you will work at open houses during the weekend, where you will interact with Buyers and Sellers. It is a place to learn with other NATO agents, while building your client base and personal networking system. We would not be surprised if you make your first sale during your initial six weeks. It will become the most important time of your career.

Not just textbook training

We show you how to operate as a real estate professional from the very beginning. You'll learn how to hold an open house, how to generate new business, how to read market trends and how to run your business. You'll have Hawaii’s largest real estate company as your partner and you'll benefit from all of the tools and support that the company has to offer every agent. Les and his staff will provide daily guidance, training and ongoing coaching to get you started on the path to success.

Leslie "Les" Kobata
Senior Vice President of NATO

Les Kobata is the Lead Trainer for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties, New Agent Training office. He is a seasoned Real Estate professional bringing over 20 years of Sales experience to the program. Under his guidance the NATO team will provide you the tools for a successful career in Real Estate. Seasoned Real Estate professionals and new agents to the business benefit from this program, which enriches your knowledge of the market and provides you the exclusive tools that make for a successful career. Les joined the Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties Kailua office in 2003 before being transferred to the Kahala office in 2006. Both the Kailua and Kahala offices ranked in the top 10 of all Coldwell Banker offices nationwide.
